To commemorate today, Hubby’s milestone 40th birthday, here’s a list of some reasons I love him. :)

1. I love being married to a man who is not the “strong, silent type.” He is strong, but he’s definitely not silent. He’s the perfect balance to me, as I’m usually not the talker.

2. I love being married to a man who is great at fixing things even if he does not enjoy it after a long day at the office.

3. I love being married to a man who is not afraid to get his hands dirty.

4. I love being married to a man who is not afraid to stand up for what is right.

5. I love being married to a man whose desire to adopt children was as strong as mine.

6. I love being married to a man who lets me home school our kids, and tries to understand my need and love of teaching.

7. I love being married to a man who still knows how to be a kid.

8. I love being married to a man who can make me laugh, even when I’m trying to be serious.

9. I love being married to a man who loves God.

10. I love being married to a man who is not afraid to confront someone if they are breaking rules or laws.

11. I love being married to a man who is good at his job, even on the days when he’d rather be riding his bike.

12. I love being married to a man who isn’t afraid to have fun.

13. I love being married to a man who can find new hobbies, even as an old curmudgeon!

14. I love being married to a man that I can count on.

15. I love being married to a man who laughs at the same places I do when we watch a movie..

16. I love being married to a man who still honors his mother by calling her several times a week.

17. I love being married to a man who is tall, dark, and handsome. At 6’6, with beautiful dark brown hair, and just as cute as a butter bean – he’s the answer to every dream I’ve ever had.

18. I love being married to a man who wants to give his children everything they need.

19. I love being married to a man who can figure out anything.

20. I love being married to a man who is very good with money (as long as mountain bikes aren’t involved. :) )

21. I love being married to a man who is sensible.

22. I love being married to a man who doesn’t watch sports. Thankfully, I haven’t had to watch Monday Night Football since I met him!

23. I love being married to a man who is completely and totally logical – sometimes to the point of driving me nuts.

24. I love being married to a man who loves my family.

25. I love being married to a man who hits the “snooze” button as many times as I do.

26. I love being married to a man who values education enough to go back to school for the “piece of paper.”

27. I love being married to a man who has a 3.9something GPA.

28. I love being married to a man who wants to excel at everything he does.

29. I love being married to a man who shares my opinion of cats.

30. I love being married to a man who turns into a giddy school boy every time he watches Dust to Glory, a documentary about the Baja 1000

31. I love being married to a man who sticks his ice cold feet on me to warm them up. (actually, it’s kind of annoying, but it’s become almost endearing.)

32. I love being married to a man who puts up with my whining and complaining.

33. I love being married to a man who is successful.

34. I love being married to a man who will catch the lizards if they come in the house and release them back to the yard.

35. I love being married to a man who knows how to pick the best watermelon.

36. I love being married to a man who is smarter than 99.95% of the population.

37. I love being married to a man who loves me without makeup.

38. I love being married to a man who God created just for me.

39. I love being married to a man who is my best friend.

40. I love being married to a man who chose me.
