Friday Feast 169

Appetizer ~ What was your first “real” job?

I was a Training Coordinator for an Oracle consulting company.

Soup ~ Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity?

I’d either take a shower or take a walk. Don’t know why, but most of my “good” ideas come when I’m washing my hair, or pounding my feet on a treadmill…

Salad ~ Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when…

I think back and remember some of the choices I made years ago. (For an example, see today’s dessert…)

Main Course ~ What values did your parents instill in you?

Too many to even attempt to list. But one is integrity. Defined by Learning Family, “Integrity means being the same person inside and out, all the time. Whether in public or in private, we keep our commitments, accept responsibility for our own actions, and are honest and fair with everyone. And yes, it means always telling the truth and being good, just because it is the right thing to do. We know that personal integrity is required to earn another’s trust, and is therefore the basis of all human relationships.”

Dessert ~ Name 3 fads from your teenage years.

Hair:
Big hair, and because “everything’s bigger in Texas”, really big hair was “all the rage.” And it was even better when you wore it with a bandana as a headband.

Clothes:
Very tight, preferably Calvin Klien, jeans. Worn with a Ralph Lauren Polo shirt, collar turned up, of course.

Media:
Using the brand-new Walkman to listen to cassette tapes of The Police, Quiet Riot, a-ha, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Prince (when he still was called Prince, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, and of course, Julian Lennon.
