Hubby has just won the “Husband of the Year” award, well, okay, not really, but he could have. He surprised me with my Christmas present a few days early…the super cool software program Adobe Photoshop CS3.

I followed some pretty simple instructions and figured out how to make eyes “pop.” I also figured out, after playing around with some of the tools, how to remove dirt and drool, and how to saturate the color of Tigger’s lips.

Before on left – After on right.

I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to hire a maid, governess, and chef to take over the house and children for me, because learning this software is going to be a full-time job. But, but, but… IT IS REALLY COOOOL!

    hello Secret Sis!

Very cool program! I wanted to let you know that I’m shipping out a package tomorrow for you…I’m so sorry I’ve been remiss. :-( Life has been nuts around here for a loooong time.

    big hugs!

    Great job with the picture!

If I may offer some Photoshop tips:

    1. Don’t mess with the original layer

    2. Use adjustment layers (so none of your adjustments on any layers are permament)

    3. Printing the photos you see on screen is a whole topic in itself. Learn about the CMYK color space (it’s what the printer speaks)!

    4. There are some great magazines out there with lots of tips & tricks. Here is one of the best: http://www.photoshopuser.com/

    5. I find the Videos are quickest to learn from. Here are some excellent ones:

-Crud, now I can’t remember the second one, it’s a simple pay-per tutorial one too. Well, if I remember, I’ll send it to you. :)

The site I could not remember is http://www.Lynda.com! Great site – you can subscribe to their online training store for $25/mo or sample some free videos.
