Be sure to stop by Shannon’s, over at Rocks In My Dryer , for Works-For-Me Wednesday. If you have a quandary, the folks who meet there have a solution!
Now that the semi-cool, fall-type weather has finally made it to Texas, I have an excuse to make hot cocoa. You can be sure that I take the easy route because, who really wants to mess up their kitchen just for a cup of hot cocoa? Are you ready? It’s super easy – I promise.
Prepare your favorite packaged cocoa mix as directed . (My current favorite is the Archer Farms Mint Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix, but the Raspberry Hot Cocoa is a close second.) Once you’ve followed the directions, add a shot or two of Coffee-Mate’s liquid coffee creamer. It adds a rich creamy flavor with absolutely NO work or mess! It really turns a plain cocoa into something rich and decadent. Yum!
Some of my favorites:
Raspberry Cocoa with French Vanilla creamer.
Mint Chocolate Cocoa with Original creamer.
Milk Chocolate Cocoa with Peppermint Mocha creamer.
With flavored cocoas and creamers – the possibilities are almost endless! If you try it, let me know your favorite flavor combinations!

I never thought of adding those flavored creamers. My kids would love that.
mmmmmm. Yummy. It was 20 degrees outside this morning. Truly hot chocolate weather!
I like to add a bit of Schnapp’s to my hot chocolate – either peppermint or raspberry is yummy! Top it off with a squirt of Reddi Whip and you’ve got a delicious treat!!
Wow these sound delicious. I love hot chocolate so I will have to try some Coffeemate!
Oh, yes! Any day with hot chocolate is a great day indeed!
We always look for the seasonal specialties that come out at Sam’s Club. Truely the lazy way to go.
