Tonight the boys called their Grandma so they could tell her all about their day. They helped me deliver Meals On Wheels. They played with sidewalk chalk and bubbles. They helped Daddy fix my car. They went swimming. They went out to eat. They played with Lego’s. And on and on.
Well, Grandma got a little concerned about the swimming. Last year we bought an above ground pool. (Like the one pictured.) We set it up around Memorial Day and take it down around the end of September. It’s not pretty, but the boys LOVE it. It’s 15′ in diameter and 36″ tall, which makes the water level about 30″. They can practice their swimming strokes, but their feet can touch the bottom and their heads stick out of the water. It’s the perfect pool for the boys. And it’s not bad for when Hubby or I want to cool off, we can float on a couple of noodles and enjoy it, too.
Anyway, Grandma hasn’t seen our pool, so she had a couple of questions for Tigger. She asked him if Mommy or Daddy went swimming with him. He very matter-of-factly said, “No, Woody is my swimming buddy. I swim with him. You can’t go swimming if you don’t have a buddy. It’s the rules, Grandma.”
Next Grandma, not realizing he can stand with his head above water, wanted to know if he wore a life jacket in the pool. Tigger said in an incredulous voice, “Grandma! You don’t wear jackets in the pool! You wear jackets in the snow!”

So cute! That pool looks like fun. We thought of one for ourselves, but we decided to go with the pool membership in town. That way we don’t have to do the maitenance! Yay for summer, right?
How funny! You know, maybe we should get a pool like that – my boys need to learn how to swim, but I can’t be on guard for three non-swimmers at once!
