This week has gone well. My goal for the week was to increase my water intake. I never thought it was that big of a deal to drink 8 8-oz. glasses of water a day. I’ve pretty much gone along the lines that if it’s liquid, that has no sugar and no alcohol, it could be considered part of the 8&8. Turns out that the “hydration police” weren’t just out to rob me of my diet root beer.
I was able to drink a gallon of water per day, for 5 out of 7 days this past week. I have felt a surge of energy and I am amazed at how much better I feel on the days I drink the gallon. The experts are also correct in that it is a great appetite suppressant. Several times I thought I was hungry, but instead of grabbing a snack, I drank a bottle of water and told myself that I could have a snack in 15 minutes if I still wanted one. Every time the water cured my “hunger” – which helped me to lose 1.8 lbs. this week – bringing my total to 37 lbs.
